Branches Cabernet Sauvignon is one of our more anticipated wines that come out every few years. This is an 84% Cabernet and 16% Petite Sirah blend and when you pour this wine into a glass the first thing noticeable is the deep dark fruit and spice notes. There’s a good deal of intense plum and cherry pie aromas alongside the notes of baking spices, nutmeg, maple and vanilla. This wine saw a decent amount of time in French oak barrels and the tannins are bold but not overpowering. The tannins come off as somewhat chewy at first but then transform into soft, full, and round on the palate. Definitely a great choice for pairing with smoked or grilled meats and pork ribs. Also, easily enjoyed on its own on a cold night by the fire. Enjoy!
