The 2020 Panza Syrah was made with 93% Syrah and 7% Viognier and we let the wine sit on the grape skins for about 90 days after the fermentation finished for an extended maceration. There is a good amount of tannin on the palate but its not overwhelming. It gives a good coating all over the mouth and lingers for a bit. All of this is balanced out with a lengthy warm finish- a bit of a surprise based on the lower alcohol content of 12.4%.
